FAQ
Gutter questions, answered.
Straight answers from people who install gutters around Chattanooga every week.
General
Yes. We come out, measure, look at the whole system, and give you a written quote. There's no charge and no obligation.
Call or send the form and we'll get back to you quickly to set a time that works for you. If something is actively failing after a storm, tell us and we'll prioritize it.
It depends on the length of your roofline, number of stories, number of downspouts, gutter size, and whether you add guards. That's why we measure first. You'll get an exact written number, not a range that changes later.
Our sister company, Local Roofer, handles roof repairs, inspections, and replacements. If we see a roof problem while we're on your gutters, we'll tell you.
Chattanooga and the surrounding area, including Hixson, Ooltewah, East Brainerd, Red Bank, Soddy-Daisy, Signal Mountain, Lookout Mountain, Collegedale, Apison, and Cleveland. We work in Tennessee only. Not sure if you're in range? Just call.
White, almond, clay, brown, bronze, gray, black and more. We'll bring a color chart to your estimate so you can match your trim.
Seamless Gutter Installation
Most homes do fine with 5". Steep roofs, large roof areas, or spots where two roof planes dump into one corner often need 6" to keep up with a Chattanooga downpour. We'll measure and tell you which one makes sense, and why.
Most homes are done in a single day. Larger or more complicated rooflines can take a little longer, and we'll tell you that up front.
Yes. We carry the popular colors and will bring a color chart to your estimate so you can see them against your house.
Gutter Guards
Good ones, installed correctly, dramatically cut down on clogs. No guard is literally zero-maintenance. You may need to brush debris off the top occasionally, but you won't be scooping out wet leaves.
Often, yes. If your gutters are sound and pitched correctly, a guard can go right on. If they're sagging or leaking, we'll tell you honestly whether it makes more sense to replace first.
Needles are the toughest debris there is. We'll recommend a fine-mesh style if pines are your problem, rather than a guard designed for big leaves.
Gutter Repair
If the metal is sound and the problem is a few joints or hangers, absolutely. If the system is rusted through, badly undersized, or failing in several places, replacement usually saves money over time. We'll tell you which it is.
Yes. Call us, describe what you're seeing, and we'll get someone out to look at it.
Gutter Cleaning
At least twice a year: late spring and again after the leaves drop. Homes under heavy tree cover, especially on Signal or Lookout Mountain, may need it more often, or gutter guards.
Not usually. We just need access to the outside of the house. We'll text or call when we're done.
Downspouts & Drainage
A good rule is several feet from the foundation, sloping away from the house. Exact placement depends on your lot, and we'll walk it with you.
Ask us about your property. We'll tell you what we can handle and, if it's outside what we do, point you in the right direction.
Fascia & Soffit Repair
We'll point out anything visible at the estimate. Some rot only shows once old gutters come off. If we find it, we stop, show you, and explain the cost before doing extra work.
